The French Bedroom Company

Social Media Management

For the past 10 years The French Bedroom Company has grown from strength to strength. They originally operated out of a one bedroom flat in London, but since have moved to spacious 7-bedroom Grade II listed Victorian country house that has been converted into a showroom space in Haywards Heath.

They have been named an official UK Cool Brand (2015) for the fourth consecutive year. The Sheerluxe Online Shopping Awards (2013) named us ‘Best Bath & Bed Retailer’ (they were shortlisted in 2015). They scooped ‘Best Lighting’ at The House Beautiful Magazine Awards in 2014. Also in 2014 their blog was awarded ‘Best Organisation Blog’ at The Amara Blog Awards (they were  shortlisted in 2015). Their Residence Headboard was also named ‘The Sexiest Gadget of All Time’ Award by T3 Magazine, and finally, their website was recently awarded Gold Status by Mumpreneur Website Awards.

We have been responsible for The French Bedroom Company’s Pinterest and Facebook channels for the past 5 years and we are extremely proud to be part of their success, especially since they are mostly an online company.

  • “Here at The French Bedroom Company put we a lot of emphasis on customer engagement and brand presence, and our social channels are really important to the way we interact with fans, the public and our customers. We’re a visual brand, and Christa really understands our image and our brand. She is always quick to jump on trends, seasonal promotions, new images, new collaboration ideas and new digital functionality – she has her finger on more than one pulse! She manages the global conversation for us, allowing us to focus on new products and on our sales.”

Georgia Metcalf, Owner

In the beginning there was a bed. The French Bedroom Company was born in May 2006 by Georgia Metcalfe, an interiors guru with a background in interior design and styling. Whilst shopping for a bed for her 30th birthday, she realised the only way to find THE French bed was to import one from France. Six months later the first French Bedroom Company collection was launched, with a simple ethos: to find exceptional quality French furniture and share it with people who want a bit of sassy French style in their bedroom.

The French Bedroom Company combines enchanting Louis XV-style furniture with a touch of the unexpected. The Design Team draws inspiration from everywhere: a 16th century carving, a piece of jewellery, a work of art, ruffles on lingerie. They love to mix up colours and textures to create beautiful pieces that make a statement and start a conversation.
